Being a part of this organization has changed me. About 5 years ago, I did my first Sunshine Spaces project with Emme. Being able to offer my time is a privilege and being able to get involved is an honour! I feel this is a calling for me. I want to be a small part of a big change in this world. Please be another small part in making a big change in this world. 

Zimbabwe is a beautiful country with a tragic past.  Over 30 years of political mismanagement and corruption has left this country on her knees and the majority of her people living in extreme poverty.  Sleeping on the floor at night with no blankets or bedding, these children walk over 8 miles a day to school each way for the privilege of getting an education. This walk is often done without food in their stomach or shoes on their feet. They do this from the age 5 onwards.  Children under school age are left in the streets of the village regardless of the weather as parents have to work in the fields of the farm to support their families.  Life is hard in the village and without education, there is little hope of changing the path they are on.

Sunshine Spaces has an extraordinary opportunity to make an impact in the lives of these 200 children.  Through sponsorships for each child and partnerships from companies both here in the States and in Zimbabwe, we will be traveling to the area to build a community center for the children under school age, paying for each child in the village to have the uniforms needed for school as well as a year of education. This is life changing for these children - a chance in a million to get a foot up in the world and YOU can be part of it.
