Q: When will you be placed with your child?
A: Our adoption agency says each case is different and depends upon many factors, such as number of birth parents and number of adoptive parent applicants. It could happen as early as this year or up to a few years.
Q: What agency are you using?
A: We are adoption through a highly recommended agency based in Cleveland, Ohio called Bellefaire JCB. Learn more about them here.
Q: Are you adopting domestically or internationally? What ages?
A: We are adopting domestically from Ohio and are planning to adopt an infant.
Q: Why does adoption cost so much money?
A: Great question! The government (Federal and State of Ohio) have regulated this process, and therefore it requires lots of highly qualified professionals to get involved (e.g. Lawyers, Licensed Social Workers, Police, FBI et. al.). Adoption will cost us about $25k total.
Q: Is my contribution tax deductible?
A: Yes! Adopt Together is a 501c3 organization. Your contribution will is eligible for tax deduction when you file your taxes. Keep your receipt for the IRS.
