About this Fundraiser

"You don't know what you don't know"

Now stop for just a minute and think about that. I know that I don’t know how to fly a plane because I see pilots that do. I don’t know how to change the oil in my car but I know where to go to get someone to do it who DOES know. There are things that are not anywhere in my experience…quantum physics for example. I have NO CLUE!

I guarantee if you read to the end you will know something you didn't know before.

What if knowing something you don't now know could actually save your life? or the lives of your children? There is a tree that grows in the wild and in many yards in South Sudan. It's primary use is for shade and boundary lines. That tree is the Moringa and its uses are amazing and life-changing! Our training expanded their knowledge and their shade tree became a source of safe drinking water, healthy diet, and inexpensive medicine (it helps the body heal from over 300 diseases). They didn’t know what they didn’t know. If you didn’t know see http://www.strongharvest.org/the-moringa-tree/ for more information.

"My people perish for lack of knowledge.." Hosea 4:6a

What's Next?

The moringa tree improves life, but what if you don’t know about giving life? In South Sudan babies born not breathing are often set aside and assumed to be dead. Many women die in their thatched-roof “tukuls” during childbirth from very preventable causes. They can't afford to go to a hospital, and if they could, space is limited. They don’t know what they don’t know.

The women in Yei, South Sudan asked for training on how to share the Gospel and love of Christ just as the men do. We will partner with Teach to Transform in September to teach women “Helping Babies Breath.” This midwife training will give the women a practice way to show the love of God as they help babies enter the world healthy. Healthy moms will receive the good news that God loves them so much Jesus was born. Helping Babies Breath will start lives in both a physical and spiritual way. If you want to know more about this training check out http://teachtotransform.org/medical-training/.

We will also be training 8-10 farming cooperative groups about Farming God’s Way. This farming method will save money and increase crop yield exponentially.  If you don't know about that, check out http://www.farming-gods-way.org/overview.htm.

Why should you support the work of e3 in South Sudan? Part of the strategy created by e3 and its Sudanese partners is to train church members to transform their community by pouring out Christ's love in practical ways.

Through our efforts, the Gospel is promoted and local churches are prepared to make a significant impact in the lives around them in Biblical, sustainable, and reproducible ways.
