Hi Every family has a story, welcome to ours. My name is Bekah and I am married to Nate. We have a daughter named Eden. Nate and I have been married for 9 years and are a silly match. We have been struggling with infertility for six years. We never thought this would be the way God would craft our story, as neither of our families have ever struggled with something like this. However, starting early in our dating relationship we both shared a passion for adoption, so we know He has been crafting this plan for a while. We are excited to continue to grow our family through adoption. We have loved every minute with Eden and can't wait to deeply love another little one. In August of 2014, we adopted our sweet Eden. We have an open adoption with her family and feel like we gained more than just Eden into our family - we extended our family two-fold. It's humbling to see how God intertwined our story with theirs, and how he continues to show us that He is the maker and designer of our path in this life. Eden will be an AMAZING big sister. She brings a smile to every stranger we pass, shares everything she has with everyone, and loves to give kisses and hugs. We have to confess...it's quite humbling to have a profile here and to depend on others for support. Having fully funded our first adoption (with a few small gifts from friends and family), it took us a while to get used to the idea. God has taught us that if we don't open our hearts for his service, we are robbing others of the joy of giving and the ability to join in on our story. With that, we are inexpressibly thankful and pray that God blesses each of you all in the ways that you sacrifice to help us bring Eden's little brother or sister home. For those that are curious, here is a breakdown of what your giving goes toward: $500 - Adoption Application Fee $950 - Home Study Fee $4500 - Program Fee (costs associated with outreach, ed. and training, staff communication and family support, service plan development, connection to prospective birth parents and access to resources, legally allowable assistance to expectant parents to help sustain pregnancy, ect) $11,000 - Placement fee (includes coordination of comm. after adoption) $2000-2500 - Legal Fees We have personally saved $6,000 to go toward this adoption, and are working to raise an additional $13,000.
