My heart is overjoyed as I sit here and think about God's faithfulness over the years and the journey He has taken me on in the mission field. Ever since I finished college, I felt God putting a stronger desire in me to have a heart for missions and reaching people who have never heard the name of Jesus. In 2012, God gave me the amazing opportunity to be part of a mission team to Tanzania. For 20 days, I was able to be with the Maasai people and serve on Ukara Island. It was an opportunity that changed my life, and I have never been the same since then.

The following year, I was so excited thinking about the possibility of traveling back to Tanzania and serving there once again. However, God's plans were quite different than what I had in mind. God closed that door for me for a while and instead opened up the most humbling opportunity to lead a team of people from my home church, Leatherwood Baptist Church, to Nicaragua. LBC developed a partnership there with a very sweet church in Juigalpa, Nicaragua. I spent the next four summers leading teams to yet another place that absolutely stole my heart.

I am completely humbled and overjoyed that God is now opening up another opportunity for me to serve in Tanzania in May 2017. I will be with a team of people serving in Mara, Tanzania, and I cannot wait to be back in the place that captured my heart back in 2012. We will spend our time in Tanzania sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with people who have never heard His name. As we meet people and share the Gospel, we will begin to disciple them, teach them stories from the Bible, and teach them how to share Christ with others. That way, after we leave, the Gospel will continue to be spread throughout their community.

I continue to stand amazed at everything God has allowed me to be part of the last few years. I am completely humbled that He would allow me to be a vessel that shares His Word, because I know I don't deserve His love, His grace, or His mercy.... yet He pours it in to me daily. It breaks my heart to know that there are so many people in this world who don't know Jesus. I have the Good News and I know I need to GO and share it!
