Overview
The trip will be 10 days (July 21-30th) where we are coming alongside Ethiopian Christians sharing the gospel and connecting Ethiopians with the truth found in God's word.
God has opened the door for me to go on a short-term mission trip to Ethiopia with E3 Partners and Watermark Community Church this summer. Ultimately, the purpose of the trip is to build relationships and share Christ with Ethiopians who have never heard the name of Jesus while helping fulfill E3's vision of planting churches within the unreached peoples of the Arsi Oromo.
Your help is needed! This is a team project, and you are needed! First, we need your prayers for trip ahead. Second, if you are willing and able, you help is needed to partner in covering the cost of the trip.
Why I'm going?
Ever since my trip to Seattle for 6 weeks in college, I have been awe struck at how the absence of the gospel impacts people and communities. Seeing first hand the despair of not knowing the mercy, grace, and love available through the Gospel and the complete rejection of it opened my eyes and heart to wanting to share the Gospel to the lost.
After college, I moved up to Dallas and got involved in a local church called Watermark Community Church. I have been serving in some capacity for the past 4 years, and in the past year and a half got involved with the ministry called the Porch. The Porch is a young adult ministry seeking that people see Jesus and fully surrender to Him. While serving there, I was invited to go to Ethiopia. I got super excited at the prospect of being thrown into a totally different culture and getting to see God work in the lives of those there. As I thought back to my Seattle trip thinking about how I saw God work there, I cannot wait to see how God will change me and do His work in the communities that we will be visiting.
