My Story

I started a relationship with Jesus in high school through Young Life.  In highschool and college I served on work crews and summer staff to serve and give back to make sure other kids heard the good news of Jesus.  Since college I knew I wanted to work for a church or Young Life or some other Christian organization to lay my life down for the kingdom.  I wanted to be involved in a work that would last for an eternity.  So when I heard about Refuge I prayed real hard and chose to walk through a door that the Lord had opened.  I knew that this was the place for me when during my first season, I got to watch grown men break down walls, stop believing lies from the enemy, and get healed week after week, after week.  And us getting to send them back home to their organizations and churches refreshed, knowing that they will have an impact on so many more people.  Ultimately coming to the realization that the people who wash the most feet also need their feet washed.  Never would I have imagined that I would be having impacts on pastors from all across the world in Wyoming. This is truly a dream job and a dream organization that I get to work for.   Your donations will help cover my monthly expenses during my time at Refuge. Because of your generosity I will be able to save and help prepare for future goals which will, in turn, allow me to be more focused on the present task of serving leaders at the Refuge Foundation. What is Refuge Foundation?

Refuge desires to serve people who serve people and prevent burnout among leaders throughout the world. Refuge believes that if we can keep lead pastors, and lead businessmen healthy we can keep their churches and businesses healthy. We do this by giving our lives to serve these men like they have never been served before. Refuge cares deeply about the emotional and spiritual health of pastors, non-profit leaders, and people of influence. Often these leaders are under immense pressure, scrutiny, and spiritual warfare. We commit to creating an environment where guests can put aside the responsibilities of leadership and be refreshed by the Lord. We create shared experiences such as fly fishing or horseback riding, which leads to friendship and trust. Which then leads to open hearted living and leaders getting healed weekly. Based on a data collection from last year, 1 and every 5 pastors who visited Refuge said they would have quit ministry if not for Refuge.
