Colégio Kairos an education and community development initiative of Help One Now - provides quality education to more than 450 children in Iquitos, Perú. It is also a community hub, investing in future generations through education and development.

In Iquitos, Peru, Help One Now partners with Kairos Ministries, an amazing ministry that consists of a church and two schools that teach a combined 500 students.  Many of the students come from the Belen township, a place on the very fringes of society. Homes there are often just one room, yet large extended families (or even multiple families) reside in them. Parents must work long hours, leaving their small children extremely vulnerable to abuse, sexual exploitation, and disease. Kairos Ministries provides education and care for vulnerable children, and they also offer counseling and support for struggling families.  

This fundraiser will build 3 additional classrooms at the Colegio Kairos San Juan campus. Some of these children are so desperate for education that they are willing to meet outdoors, and the amazing teachers of Colegio Kairos teach them there, despite the weather. By building these classrooms, the students will receive a better education in a proper learning environment, and have a greater chance to break the cycle of poverty in which they are trapped.
