This expedition is considered to be an "Extreme Mission" because the team will pitch tents and set up camp in the very area in which you will be working. On this expedition, you'll have the opportunity to spread the Gospel and make disciples on the Island of Maisome.  This island is located in the beautiful country of Tanzania and in the second largest freshwater lake in the world, Lake Victoria. Along with the American team, the Kara people from Ukara Island will be mobilized to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with this unreached people group. They've been training as well and are preparing with the same purpose as those of us in the United States...to "go therefore and make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you...(Matthew 28:19-20a). The opportunity to walk alongside other Tanzanian nationals as we spread the gospel is a realization of the vision to be a catalyst for indigenous church planting movements.
