TRIP DESCRIPTION
With over 2.3 million residents, Cali is Colombia’s third largest city and enjoys a rich history. It was originally established in 1536 and has now become the center of Colombia’s sports world, regularly serving as host city to major championships.
They say the biggest danger in traveling to Colombia is that you’ll never want to leave. Between its vast mountain ranges and sprawling coastlines, the country sports picturesque scenes that capture your heart. But among the 46 million people living there, many have never heard the story of Jesus or experienced his grace firsthand.
WHAT WE’RE DOING
e3 Partners has been working in and around the region of Cali for a number of years with great success. In particular, the development of the e3 Colombia Mentor Network is very successful in training hundreds of pastors and leaders with the vision and tools for starting, strengthening and establishing new churches. Another major dimension of the successful ministry in the Cali region is Community Transformation. Our participation as North Americans in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting expeditions are a powerful encouragement and motivation for our Colombian partners. This trip also includes a medical component, which means a team of medical personnel share the love of Christ in several of the church planting communities by meeting basic medical needs. The climate in Cali is moderate.
