November is the National Adoption Awareness Month and what a great way to promote adoption awareness than to share with you our good news. We are APPROVED, and anxiously waiting.  

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a funding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set this campaign to help us ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

Q: What do you mean by been approved?

A: After months of preparation, training, fingerprints, documentation, and more… We got our home study and dossier sent to Colombia. Colombia has our information which it gets reviewed and then we are placed in waiting list. As many of you might know, I am from Colombia which gives us priority in the waiting list. 

Q: What agency are you using?

A:  Our agency is Madison Adoption Associates. They are a non-profit adoption agency with full Hague Accreditation. They have various international programs including Colombia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Philippines, Thailand, China.

Q: What country are you planning to adopt?  What ages?

A: We are planning to adopt from Colombia a girl between 3 to 11 years old.  


Q: Is my contribution tax deductible?

A: Yes! Adopt Together is a 501c3 organization. Your contribution is eligible for tax deduction when you file your taxes. Keep your receipt for the IRS.
