Knowing more and more of God’s heart compels me to reach out to those who still do not know Him and need His love.  I’m incredibly excited that God has made a way for me to go to Kenya this summer!

During July 25th to August 3, I will be going with e3 Partners to Kenya, Africa.  e3 Partners has been sharing the story and message of Christ locally and abroad for over 25 years. Their mission is equip God’s people to evangelize His world and establish His church.  We will have a large team of 12 Americans, with about ⅓ of us coming from Restoration/FCBC.  

Our team will be focusing on reaching a people group called the Digo. The Digo are an East African tribe, concentrated on the southern coastal strip of Kenya between Mombasa and the border of Tanzania. They identify themselves as Muslims, practicing a “folk Islam”, which is their own earth-based spirituality that combines elements of Muslim tradition with their own native beliefs and practices.  They are 99.9% non-Christian and the most of them have never heard the message of hope through Jesus Christ.

What we will be doing:

• Upon arriving, we will spend a day praying, training, preparing and team building.  Then we’ll spend the next 4 or 5 days traveling from village to village and hut to hut.  We will partner with local pastors and Christians, who will be our translators and guides.  

• We will be looking for a “person of peace”, someone who God has prepared in advance to be receptive to the gospel.  Using the Evangecube, we will share the gospel through our interpreter and offer prayer to whoever is open to receiving prayer.  

• We hope to see many come to believe in Jesus and the subsequent birth of new house churches for the new believers to seek God together!  Our local partners are committed to following up with those who make professions of faith throughout our trip and will continue to help grow the new Christians.  

There is a place for you to join God in His glorious mission and I’m inviting you to partner with me in ministry to the Digo people!  While you may not be hopping onto the plane with me, you ARE filling a vital role of providing support in my mission trip. More than anything, I covet your persistent prayers! God is already at work in the Digo people and Luke 10:2 tells us that the harvest is plentiful.  Pray for a mighty movement of the Holy Spirit to dismantle the strongholds of evil and to call the Digo people out of darkness and into HIS marvelous light.

Each team member is responsible for raising a portion of the trip’s cost.  As per our church’s policy, I have already donated a full ⅓ of the trip’s cost out of my own pocket.  The full amount of the trip is upwards of $3975, due to increased cost of my airline ticket. Half of that amount will go towards the funding of local translators, lodging and the cost of daily SUVs to travel to the villages.  Please give generously if you feel God is calling you to support me financially. I appreciate any amount you can joyfully give. The majority of the funds is due a month before we leave. As always, all gifts are fully tax deductible and you will receive a receipt from e3 Partners. 

Day to day, I’m just a regular wife and a stay-at-home mom. I really am no super-Christian, I have no special calling that’s different from anyone else. I am just willing to go, just a normal person who wants to share the love of Christ with someone who hasn’t heard.  Thank you for partnering with me!
