Mis*sion*ary
(noun) : someone who leaves their family for a short ime so that others can have eternity with their family.
My name is Rebecca Torrez, I am a minister for kids at my church, I have a love for people, a passion for helping those in need, and I have an amazing opportunity to do all of that this coming November. (John 4:19)
Starting November 10th I get to share Christ with the Digo, a tribe in Kenya where less than 1% are followers of Christ. The Digo live on the east coast of Kenya and support themselves through fishing and farming. Here in villages of 10-100 homes, clean drinking water is difficult to find in the area and is much sought after. I will be going with a team organized by e3 partners and our team will partner with national churches and believers to target unreached people with the Gospel.
This isn't my first time going on a missions trip but it is my first to be going so far over seas. However, God calls us be a light to each other and to the nations and once again I feel He is calling me to be light and bring salvation through Christ. (Isaiah 49:6) I am excited for what this trip will bring for myself and others and I am asking you for financial support and most importantly spiritual support. I ask that you please give, however much you are able and see fit, and that you keep me and this team in your prayers. (Proverbs 11:25) Pray that we will make and leave an impact, that we change lives, that our lives are changed as well, and that we travel to and from Kenya safely. (Matthew 28:20)
Thank you so much and may God bless you. :)
