I moved out to the Refuge Foundation's Wyoming location the day after my high school graduation in May 2025. I left behind family, friends, and a logical path for my life to commit to serving something that I didn't even understand at the time. Through serving here God has blessed me according to Ephesians 3:20; I have grown in love and in faith more than I could ever ask or imagine.

The mission of Refuge is what I am called to. I have always been compelled to include those who are neglected, and moved in my spirit to care for those who are often forgotten. Now, I am so privileged to care for those same people in a field that combines my passion for fly fishing, hospitality, and missions.

This page is here for me to raise financial support. The simple truth of working for a not-for-profit ministry is that we rely on the donations of others to fund most of our mission. It is not a comfortable thing for me to ask for -- nor is it something that I fear the Lord won't provide. For my living situation Refuge provides housing, food, and a monthly stipend. However, to make Refuge's ministry a long term part of my calling, I'm asking for support beyond what Refuge can currently provide. A monthly contribution or one-time donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and a welcome blessing.

Refuge, at its core, is designed to keep world changers in the game. That's our mission statement, that is who we serve, and that is what we are passionate about. Refuge is a ministry in which God allows us to impact lives around the globe by providing space for something our culture has deemed unnecessary and impractical: Sabbath.

Our cultural and spiritual leaders, who devote their daily lives to excellence in pursuit of our betterment, are often left tired and without support. Rest has been put on the back burner. There is too much to carry, too much to fix, too few hands, and simply too little time.

We bring leaders from all over the world to Refuge to experience some of the West's best fly fishing and scenery, and in that beauty encounter the Spirit. We aren't here to disciple - we are here to give rest to the weary, to feed the hungry, and to care for the needy.

In Matthew 9:37, Jesus explains to His disciples "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;" (ESV). As our leaders across the world pray for additional laborers, God gives them a slight reprieve at Refuge. By allowing men and women to become unplugged, briefly distancing themselves from the burdens they shoulder back home, they are allowed to once again have moments of silence.

God speaks in that silence.

Due to the ministry that we are in, Refuge is able to serve many more people than those we can host. If you find yourself stirred by the mission of rest, consider partnering with me so that we can continue to serve those who dedicate their lives to serving you.

The statistics are staggering. We desire to walk alongside leaders in a manner that serves them, refreshes them and coaches them toward holistic health. Refuge desires to serve people who serve people. By keeping not-for-profit leaders healthy, we believe we can bolster the organizations they lead and make the world a better place. There are plenty of organizations that offer helpful, remedial assistance to burnt-out leaders-- their services are needed and valued. However, Refuge desires to avoid leadership burnout through preventative and imitable means, thereby avoiding future crisis.
