Thank you for considering supporting my work at Refuge Foundation. We are here to serve those who serve others.
Going on ten years ago I had a dream “vision” that I was going to be guiding and caring for pastors and Christian leaders. At the time I just brushed it off not really wanting to commit to the ministry thing. Fast forward to the winter 2017/2018 I found myself struggling with depression and frequent suicidal thoughts. I denounced my relationship with God, telling him to get out of my life. January of 2018, scrolling through Facebook I saw a post for an internship in Montana to learn how to be a fly fishing guide. Unknowingly moving exactly where God had told me I was gonna be going nine years prior. I’ve always wandered from job to job all over South Dakota. It has been a true blessing to be able to call this place home and to be able to be doing something that has such a positive impact on the kingdom. I pray that I’m able to bless these men and recharge them the same way they have recharged me with their wisdom and discernment.
About Refuge FoundationRefuge is made up of a diverse consortium of individuals who care deeply about faith and non-profit leaders and desire to see them flourish. All too often, faith and non-profit leaders experience stress and scrutiny that leads to leadership burnout.
The statistics are staggering. We desire to walk alongside leaders in a manner that serves them, refreshes them and coaches them toward holistic health. Refuge desires to serve people who serve people. By keeping not-for-profit leaders healthy, we believe we can bolster the organizations they lead and make the world a better place. There are plenty of organizations that offer helpful, remedial assistance to burnt-out leaders, their services are needed and valued. However, Refuge desires to avoid leadership burnout through preventative means thereby avoiding preventable crisis.
