Adra Bangladesh
This summer, PUC and La Sierra will come together to help out the Chalantika Mother & Children Development Project in the town of Dahka.
ADRA Bangladesh operates the Tongi Children Education Program (TCEP) in a very poverty stricken area, giving 250 students an education. Many families struggle to pay the tuition of a little more than $1 a month and often cannot afford proper meals every day.
TCEP currently has the budget to provide one meal a week, but more needs to be done. That is why they are initiating the Tongi Nutritional Meal Program. It will give our students better health and improve community awareness on proper nutrition.
Dear Family,
As some of you may know, I have been attending Pacific Union College studying within the Religion department for two and a half years now. My desire is to work with at-risk youth, the underprivileged, and the neglected by spreading the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I have been gaining a deeper and more intimate relationship with God, He has continued to open doors in my life. The Lord has now opened a door and given me an opportunity to expand my horizons. He has personally brought me from afraid to leave my own house where I was in isolation, in and out of trouble, and addicted, to now unafraid and eager to go abroad, take on this mission, and live in the fullness of all He has planned for my life.
This summer my college has a mission trip opportunity for me in Bangladesh where I can work with the local youth, the underprivileged, and reflect Christ to the best of my ability by helping the local villages with different projects. My reason for this page is to request the possibility of help with the cost of this trip and any donation amount, whether high or low would be tremendously appreciated. I am forever grateful to God for the blessings He has bestowed upon me and if you decide to help me in my cause to go to Bangladesh it will most certainly not be in vain.
If you decide to help make this dream a reality:
Checks should be made payable to: Pacific Union College Mission Department
Thank you & God Bless,
Ryan Peterson
