Dear family and friends,
I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to me. During December 15 - 29 (2019), I hope to be attending an amazing mission service trip and work together with Adventist Pacific International University (APIU) and Bangkok Adventist Hospital. We will be providing health and dental screenings and care to the local population through Loma Linda University's program, SIMS.
Students for International Mission Service (SIMS) is a Loma Linda University program that focuses on global service, incorporating international service opportunities into academic curriculum in order to prepare health professions students for a career of effective global service and to promote the health of global communities.
SIMS’ mission is to provide students with high-quality service-learning opportunities that empower them to become caring, competent, and socially responsible health professionals who value service as a lifelong process.
I will have the opportunity to:
· Share health topics and provide health screenings in partnership with local physicians and healthcare personnel.
· Interact with APIU faculty and students and prepare traditional local meals.
· Share academic experiences with local University students.
· Take part of local church camp meeting and activities.
I'm excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $1,900 before November 7, 2019. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and all donations are tax deductible.
Most importantly, I ask for your prayer support as it is the success of this mission. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry in these countries. My prayer is that this trip proves to be life changing for the people of Thailand even more than for myself.
I am excited about what God is going to do in my life and in other people's lives through this ministry. I hope to be serving others and experiencing Christmas and New Year’s serving abroad! I appreciate any support that you can provide. Thank you!
God Bless,
Samantha Peebles
