Ethiopia | July 12 - 21, 2019

The Story

The story starts two years ago.  It was Sam's third trip to Ethiopia and Caitlin's first.  Our lives had been so impacted by our walk with God that we both desired to share the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, with others in Ethiopia. We were placed on the same small team, and God used our team to share hope and truth with hundreds of Ethiopians! Not only that, He used the trip to spark an interest in one another that led to our marriage on October 6th, 2018!

The Scotts are going back to Ethiopia for the same reason as last time - Jesus has been so incredibly good to us individually that we desire to share the good news about Him with others. We believe that we are commanded to as His followers. But not just that - we are excited to make disciples together in the place He used to bring us together. 

The Mission

Our mission is to see churches planted within unreached people groups in Ethiopia. We are part of a team of 28 young adults from Watermark Community Church, and we will be spending several days doing outreach while our local Ethiopian partners focus on long-term relationship building. We also seek to share life with and learn from our American and Ethiopian brothers and sisters, and trust that God will use the trip to deepen our walk with Him just as He has on past trips.

The Need

Your help is needed in this mission! First, we need your prayers for faithfulness, wisdom, and courage. Please pray that we and our team would be bold in our witness, and would love our Ethiopian neighbors as we love ourselves.

Second, we need your help in covering part of the trip costs. The total cost for the trip is $5,100. These funds go toward transportation, food, lodging, translators, and supplies. Would you prayerfully consider investing in this project? Much of this amount is due by the end of April.
