Splinter Family Adoption
by Kimberly Splinter 1 Lives Impacted China
We have some very exciting news to share with you. Please meet our children Amelia Li Xiu and Feng’an Splinter. Both are a half a world away, ...
Our daughter Amelia is a tiny, sassy 9 year old, full of
spice, who loves dancing, dresses, dolls and the color pink. She is a princess that needs to get out from
behind her orphanage walls. Living behind those walls has not afforded her
the opportunity of nutritious food or getting the education she needs. She is so eager to learn and try new
things. Once here she will be able to
grow both physically and intellectually.
She needs to feel the loving embrace of her parent’s arms around her. Holding her, loving her, protecting her. Teaching her. Bedtime stories. Tucked in and kissed at night. She needs to experience the joy of tickles and piggy-back-rides. Restoration of all of those robbed years growing up in an orphanage.
Our son Feng’an is a 13 year old with a brilliant mind and
quirky smile. We had the amazing opportunity
to meet him while he was hosted here with a wonderful American family in
August. Our son! He wants to come back to American so badly
and be a part of our family. We miss him
so much and cannot wait to see him again in China and bring him home!!!
Orphans in China age out at 14 years old. This means that they are no longer able to be adopted domestically or internationally. They are put out and left to fend for themselves. That will happen to Feng’an in June so we need to work quickly. It is so urgent that we bring him home. Finally, a family for Feng’an after 13 years of waiting.
Amelia and Feng’an are our family. Our children. They are a blessing and we cannot truly capture in words our true joy and excitement of finally being able to bring them home. They have never known family. What a gift for all of us! Our hearts are full.
You can help give them a family. Help make us a family.
A share, a prayer, a donation. That is what we are asking of you, friends, so we can bring our children home soon. It’s a tax deductible donation so you really have nothing to lose.
Please contact us if you having any questions, need alternative methods of contribution or would just like to chat and find out more about China adoption. We would absolutely love to hear from each and every one of you!
Blessings,
Kim and Tim Splinter
