This Fall I will be traveling to Oaxaca, Mexico with Child Family Health International to work alongside midwives, nurses, and staff from the Ministry of Health to monitor and evaluate the birthing practices in rural Puerto Escondido. This practicum will give me the opportunity to experience and learn about the various birthing practices that have been passed down for generations, as well as expose me to the field of obstetrics and gynecology. As many of you might already know, my goal for the future is to become an obstetrician/gynecologist, so this opportunity will be grand! This is also the last step to finishing my Master's in Public Health at Loma Linda University and graduating.
I would greatly appreciate it if you all help send me to Oaxaca. These funds will help cover my travel and living expenses, as well as the program fees. Anything will help! Thank you all so much in advance!
