I’ve always been told that one of my spiritual gifts is service. This summer, I have the opportunity to use that gift as one of the leaders with Hammock Street Church’s Anchored Student Ministries (along with Beautiful Feet) on there mission trip to Cristo Rey, Nicaragua. I can’t think of a better way to live out my faith, grow in my walk with Christ, and to use my gift of service other than to share the love of Jesus with children who live in impoverished circumstances. Jesus told His followers to go into the whole world and share the Gospel, and I just want to be obedient to His command. I know this trip won’t just change the lives of the Nicaraguans that we meet, or the teenagers who decide to go, but it is going to change me as well!
