Rolanda Elveuis was in the World Wide Village Student Sponsorship Program many years ago. Today she is a wife & mother in Williamson, Haiti. 

Rolanda tragically fell in a trench that was dug outside her home to prevent flooding in her neighborhood. She broke her leg, and shattered her wrist and elbow. A physician that partners with World Wide Village said that she will most likely never walk again without surgery. 

She is currently in the hospital in Port-au-Prince awaiting surgery to repair her bones. Your donation can mean the difference between Rolanda having the ability to walk and care for her family or being wheel-chair bound. 

*UPDATE: Praise God that Rolanda was able to have surgery and the doctor's reports are very positive. Rolanda will be heading home soon, but will have thousands of dollars in medical bills - nearly impossible for a young mother living on less than $2 per day.
