When Sole Hope started, there was the not-so-simple goal to build a nonprofit that would be involved in solving one of the world’s great silent killers. As we have studied traditional nonprofit models over the past 7 years, we continue to see holes limiting us from reaching our goals.
We want to disrupt the model. We know there is a better way.
This is where you come in.
Quite simply, we need to raise more capital. Sole Hope are building a small group of private donors who will commit to funding our operations. Our goal is to continue to scale the organization, hire the best talent, implement the most innovative technologies, and create efficient systems so we can focus on our mission to end jiggers in Uganda.
The Sole Hope Foundation was created to fund the operational and administrative needs of running the organizations. This allows the Sole Hope team to focus its fundraising efforts on funding the critical initiatives in Uganda. Additionally, it ensures that the Sole Hope team can plan activities and make commitments in Uganda without having to worry about meeting the operational needs of the organization. The Sole Hope Foundation members are the strategic partners who see our work as the total of its parts and are here to make sure the organization moves forward from a position of strength and community.
When you choose to become a Foundation member, you are treated as an investor. Two annual phone calls with Sole Hope Leadership, monthly reports, a private yearly gathering before our Gala and an opportunity to journey to Uganda on a yearly trip to see the impact first hand.
You choose an amount and decide how you want to give–check or online, one time or monthly, and that is all. Each year, you can stay on the Foundation if you choose, but there is no further commitment.
