The Loma Linda University (LLU) CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) Program has teamed up with the Loma Linda University Medical Center Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery to provide care for the people of Honduras.
The facility, Hospital Adventista Valle de Angeles (HAVA), sits up in the mountains in a rural location where Hondurans often come for peace, tranquility and healing.
The goal of the LLU CRNA program and the Department of ENT Surgery is simple... Go where God has led us and care for His people. The relationship with HAVA has richly blessed our CRNA students and ENT residents. This experience allows them to use the skills they are learning for a bigger purpose. The opportunity to care for people using less than the modern conveniences offered in the United States allows the students to be creative, adapt and learn to be resourceful.
Additionally, through the Global Health Institute (GHI) and Students for International Mission Service (SIMS), we are able to obtain necessary supplies and raise funds to support our efforts.
Our program is committed to training students with a global perspective who are committed to service.
I am joining these professionals and students to assist in any way that is needed as everyday brings new challenges and I want to be part of the solution. These dedicated medical professionals who have chosen to give of their time and expertise to people that have far less is angelic. I am honored to help these medical professionals as well as the local Hondurans.
I want to thank you personally for any assistance that you could afford to help in this positively charged mission. Thanks for being the wind under my wings.
Health & Happiness,
Tim
