The LLU CRNA Program has teamed up with the LLUMC Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery to provide care for the people of Honduras. The facility, Hospital Adventista Valle de Angeles (HAVA), sits up in the mountains in a rural location where Hondurans often come for peace, tranquility and healing.
The goal of the LLU CRNA program and the Department of ENT Surgery is simple... Go where God has led us and care for His people. The relationship with HAVA has richly blessed our CRNA students and ENT residents. This experience allows them to use the skills they are learning for a bigger purpose. The opportunity to care for people using less than the modern conveniences offered in the United States allows the students to be creative, adapt and learn to be resourceful.
Additionally, through the Global Health Institute (GHI) and Students for International Mission Service (SIMS), we are able to obtain necessary supplies and raise funds to support our efforts.
Our program is committed to training students with a global perspective who are committed to service.
