I am coming to the end of my senior year of high school, and let me tell you, The Lord has been doing some amazing things in my life. This year He has continually pulled me out of my comfort zone in order to glorify Him. One of the major things that the Lord has taught me this year is that I am enough. He has shown me that He has already given me all that I need in order to serve him. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, and in purity”. This verse heavily impacted my obedience to the Lord’s call on my life to go on a mission trip to Armenia, Colombia this summer (July 23-30, 2016) with the youth group at Pantego Bible Church.
    Whenever my youth pastor first mentioned the opportunity to serve in Colombia, I immediately thought that it was an awesome idea, but only that, an idea. I thought that there was absolutely no chance of me being able to go. The cost of the trip seemed so overwhelming that I honestly assumed that there was no point in even bringing the idea up to my parents. The Lord had different plans for me. As much as I tried and tried to push down the Colombia trip, God continually laid the people of Colombia on my heart. I was in constant prayer asking the Lord to make known to me if He was calling me to serve in Colombia. He very clearly showed me that even though I am nervous about raising enough money and having enough confidence to truly share the Gospel in Colombia, He is still greater than all of my fears and He will give me boldness. On the trip my mission team will be partnering with the Colombian nationals of e3 Colombia and will be working to establish churches in the Coffee District of the country. We will primarily be focused on evangelism and discipleship ministry. I am so excited to share the hope and the love of Jesus Christ that I have experienced to people who may not know hope or love.
    I am asking that you join me in this serving and ministering experience by supporting me! I ask that you pray earnestly for my team and I that we will have boldness in Colombia. I also ask that you pray that the Colombians we come in contact with will have open hearts to the Gospel. The cost of the trip is very expensive and is being funded entirely by donations. I will need to have raised $2,900 by July 1, 2016 in order to pay for all the expenses of the trip. If you feel called, it would be such a blessing to me if you could support me financially! Any amount at all helps me get one step closer to the amazing serving opportunities in Colombia.
