This holiday season, I have the opportunity to participate in a mission service trip to Thailand in partnership with Adventist Pacific International University (APIU) and Bangkok Adventist Hospital. Through this experience, we will work alongside local physicians, dentists, and healthcare personnel to provide health and dental screenings and care to underserved communities.
During this trip, I will have the opportunity to:
• Share health education and assist with community health screenings
• Learn from and collaborate with local healthcare professionals
• Engage with local communities, including academic exchanges with university students
• Participate in local church outreach and community service activities
This mission trip to Thailand holds deep personal meaning for me because it will be my first time traveling outside of the United States. When this opportunity came through Loma Linda University, where I am currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy student, I immediately thought of my family’s sacrifices and the responsibility I feel to carry their love and resilience with me beyond the borders I’ve always known.
Through my training and the research I am involved in, I’ve learned that healing is not just clinical it is human, relational, and rooted in dignity. This experience isn’t about what I can offer, but about who I am becoming: a clinician who listens deeply, serves with humility, and honors the full story behind every person.
Your support will help cover travel, lodging, and program costs, allowing me to serve alongside local healthcare professionals during this mission. I don’t take this opportunity lightly, and I’m deeply grateful for any support that helps make it possible.
