My husband and I have decided to make a very big decision and adopt our very first child! Unfortunately, my body doesn't produce eggs like it is supposed to or even at all. We did try one round of infertility treatment where I took pills to balance my hormones. Therefore, making it easier for my body to produce eggs like it should, but we didn't have any such luck. Also, $150 each visit was getting to be a bit much when insurance didn't cover any of it. It hasn't stopped us from exploring our options though. We knew years before we got married that we were both ready to start our family right away. And we've both been on some crazy emotional rollercoasters trying to get pregnant, so we looked into adoption. It was definitely scary at first, but we decided together that it seemed like the best fit for us. There are so many kids in the world that deserve a second chance and we really want to do our part even if that means just saving one child. Right now, anyway.
