I am feeling grateful that the Lord has made a way for me to return to Kenya, a country that is so dear to my heart. I have heard many times that you can never get rid of African dust from the soles of your feet. No matter how long you have been gone, a part of you will always long to go back. This is true! A part of me stayed in Kenya the first time I left. I don’t think many people understand how torn apart I was when I had to come home. But the Lord knew. He knew where I was supposed to be, but he asked me to trust him in his timing. After a couple years of prayer, it is time. I will be returning to Kenya this summer to serve the Lord's people in Nairobi, Kenya!!
My internship with Jacaranda Care will involve working alongside the Care department in caring for the sick within the community and loving people wherever I meet them. I will be helping at the Jacaranda clinic, at the school, at the sewing centers, and in wherever else the Lord decides to send me. I will be doing home visits as well to reach members of the communities that Jacaranda serves.
Thank you for your support on my previous missions trips. Let's do this thing again! I ask for your support but most importantly your prayer! Pray that the Lord can use me to help Jacaranda spread the gospel to the people of Nairobi! Pray that their hearts would be turned to heaven and transformed by the gospel before I am there, while I am there, and long after I am gone!
Love Always,
Zea Maroon
