Can we just share a little slice of God's kindness with you today?
Over the last few weeks, He has allowed us to complete all our home study requirements and get that finalized (we're talking doctors visits, 10 hours of training, a CPR class, background checks, 50+ pages of paperwork, 2 in-home visits with a social worker!), create an adoption profile book about our family for agencies/attorneys to share with expectant mothers/parents, a church several hours away has pledged $500, and He put it on a family's heart to give $5,000!!!, and another family has pledged a $10,000 gift they would like to see matched by other donors to help us reach our goal! Y'all! Can you believe his kindness? It is incredible that this has all come together as it has. This story is unfolding and we just keep wondering who this beloved little person is who we'll be meeting at the end of this process.
We are so grateful that the start has been so smooth and encouraging. We do not know the whole story yet--there's still lots of potential for twists and turns, but we are trusting God with each step. He knows what is ahead, even if we don't. Thank you for praying. Please, please continue to do so!
So, now what do we do? Well, we have applied to one agency, and are talking with our consultant and waiting a little while before we apply to others. We are continuing to raise money because we will likely only have a couple of months after we are "matched" with an expectant mom to come up with those funds. Would you consider helping us reach the goal of our matching $10,000 gift?! Our goal is to match that gift by June 31.
