We have reached the $500 mark for our funding our first 36 quilts and getting the materials we need to get Mercy Covers off the ground. Let's see if we can knock out $260 more dollars this week to get us to the $760 mark. Then we'll have a round $1000 left to be fully funded. We can do this!
The first planned part of this project was always to offer an English class for women to begin with. We don;t need funding and yet it gets me in contact with more women and gives me a chance to get to know their needs better and inculturate more deeply here. We have had donations to contract four quilts since our start! Thank you to our backers! Just want to make sure everyone knows we are also raising funds to furnish our work space so if you cannot make a full $40 donation to contract a quilt, that is okay. Smaller amounts are just as helpful.
