For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. — Psalm 139:13-15
On March 9th, we received an email and had subsequent conversations with our adoption agency and were matched with an expectant mother!
One month later, on April 9th our daughter was born and placed with us the next day!
What started off as a closed adoption which racked us with fear and anxiety, has now bloomed into a beautiful open adoption with our daughter’s birth mother filled with peace and joy.
God was working in our life, the life of daughter, and the life of her birth mother before any of us knew the other. Our daughter’s life is nothing short of a miracle. It took monumental acts of grace, patience, and time for all of us to be where we are today.
At this time we cannot identify her by photographs or by name on social media. But soon enough we can!
