And ladies and gentlemen, we have SOFT LOA!  This means we're officially matched, and just waiting for the hard copy "Letter of Approval" to show up at our agency, likely early next week!  Once LOA arrives, we'll start a new batch of paperwork chasing, and then we'll head to China in 8-12 weeks!<3

HUGE update, guys!  We are sending our dossier to China TOMORROW!!!!  What's this mean?  The US side of things is done, and we're now moving on to the China portion!!  I have edited the fundraiser to reflect the amount of money we need to raise for our next agency payment (not the total amount still due).    This payment is $2901.25 + $140.  The amount that's already been donated ($2321) has be...

Our immigration paperwork has been APPROVED!!  We officially have (US) permission to adopt a child from a Hague Convention Country - specifically CHINA!    Next up:  document authentication, and then FINALLY OUR DOSSIER GOES TO CHINA!!!! Thank you ALL for your support, and here's to #oneless!

And now we're in the 800a APPROVAL WAIT.  Hopefully, this is a 1-3 week process, and prayerfully, we'll have that approval in our hot little hands before Thanksgiving!

Our 800A (immigration paperwork) is now at USCIS and in process!!  Hopefully we'll have fingerprints the last week of October or first week of November, and if we get very, very lucky, we could have approval from USCIS by Thanksgiving, and then only a few short weeks until we're DTC (Dossier To CHINA!).  Hang on, little man!  We're coming!

We just got an update on Milo from the orphanage!!HE CAN SIGN! HE CAN READ! He is in the second grade in China at a school for the Deaf. All SO much more than we hoped for.They also told him that we are going to adopt him, and he is VERY pleased.
