Meet Phionah, a 14 year old girl with a big smile and even bigger dreams. After losing her parents to AIDS at a young age, she moved in with her aunt. This girl does it all-- not only is she a Secondary 2 student at Ishaka Adventist College, she also helps her aunt with chores at home such as sweeping, digging, cooking, and fetching water.

"I thank you so much because I had nothing when I was not in Nyaka, but when I joined, I got everything I needed. I thank you so much because I have everything I want and I work hard in class so that I can be a nurse in the future."

At school, she shines in English and religious studies class. Like many of us, there are some classes that she struggles with (in her case, math and physics); however, these difficulties only motivate her to work even harder. One day, she wants to be a nurse so she can help others as you are helping her. We know she'll reach her goal, and YOU can join her on her journey!
