The village of Dahl is a mountainside community of approximately 100 people. Located 33 miles north of Port au Prince, and only 1 mile from Disciples' Village. These families struggle to survive on an income of less than $1 a day.
None of the people of Dahl own the land they are living on. Instead, they are allowed to live there in exchange for farming the hillside. They live in stick houses with torn tarp roofs, or in wooden homes wrapped in tin, built by American partnering churches. Until just recently there was no clean water, sanitation or education.
Thanks to the efforts of partnering churches in Illinois and S.C., the community is improving and the children are getting healthy. However, there are still many children needing a sponsor to pay for school and a daily meal. Please make a difference in the lives of these children by becoming a Sponsor today.
