Abel was born in 2013. He joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2023.

Abel Baharu was in the third group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2023. He was 9 years old when he joined PATH, and he is an only child. Abel loves studying science in school, and he hopes to become a doctor when he grows up. His mother, Kokobee Falaqa, came into the program at 27 with a 9th grade education. She currently washes clothes for a living, but with the business training she will receive from PATH, she hopes to open a food stand and also sell coffee.
