Ritta was brought into Otino Waa Children's Village in January 2026. Ritta is the youngest of five children and is a partial orphan. Her father was beaten and killed by unknown suspects, which left the family in deep distress and uncertainty. Following his death, relatives took over the family land, leaving Ritta's mother - who was the second wife - with only a small living space and very limited means of support. Due to these challenging circumstances, the mother has struggled to adequately provide for the five children. She was so relieved when Ritta was accepted into the residential care program, as Ritta will now have the opportunity to access stable care, education, and a safer environment for growth and development.
