Ayantu was born in 2013. She joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Ayantu Mumme was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. She was 11 years old when she joined PATH, and she lives with her mother. At school, Ayantu enjoys learning math and science and playing jump rope, and she hopes to be a pilot when she grows up. Her mom, Maliya Yusuf, came into the program at 35 years old with no educational background. She currently works by making and selling injera (a local staple food) to bring in an income for her family, and she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
