Badhasa Mamad was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 9, living in Chiro with his mother and three sisters. At the time, Badhasa was enrolled in Grade 2 at Much Ahmed Muche School. At school, he enjoys learning Afan Oromo and especially likes playing soccer with his friends. When he grows up, Badhasa hopes to become a doctor.
Badhasa's mother, Maftuha Esa, entered the program in 2025. Through PATH, she will receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity and work toward providing greater stability and opportunity for her children.5
