Akiah Wendwosen was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. He was 11 years old when he joined PATH, and he lives with his mother and two siblings. He loves playing soccer in his freetime, and at school, Akiah enjoys learning both Math and the Amharic langauge. He hopes to be a doctor when he grows up. His mom, Maftuha Mohamed, came into the program at 26 years old with only an elementary school background. She relies on charity from relatives and also tries to sell charcoal to bring an income for her family, and she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
