Beka was born in 2011. He joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2023.

Beka Solomon was in the third group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2023. He was 10 years old when he joined PATH, and he is the 3rd of 4 children, living with his 2 older brothers and younger sister. His mother, Lemlem Ashenafi, came into the program at 45 with no former education. She currently makes and sells a local staple food, Injera, to support her family, but after she receives business training from PATH, she hopes to expand her business by opening a small shop and also selling spices.
