Akiah was born in 2012. He joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Akiah Yohannis was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. He was 12 years old when he joined PATH, and he lives with his mother. He loves playing soccer in his freetime, and at school, Akiah enjoys learning both Math and the Amharic langauge. He hopes to be a doctor when he grows up. His mom, Eskedar Abiyu, came into the program at 30 years old with only an elementary school background. She is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
