Biniyam was born in 2015. He joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Biniyam Aschalew was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. He was 9 years old when he joined PATH, and he lives with his mother. At school, Biniyam enjoys learning all the subjects, he loves playing with his friends, and he hopes to be an engineer when he grows up. His mom, Membere Awoke, came into the program at 25 years old with only a high school education. She currently works as a maid washing neighbors' clothes to bring in an income for her family, and she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
