Blen was 7 when she joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2025.

Blen Mulugeta was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 7, living in Chiro with her mother. At the time, Blen was enrolled in Grade 1 at Nafyaad Private School. At school, she enjoys learning Afan Oromo and especially likes playing soccer with her friends. When she grows up, Blen hopes to become a doctor. Blen's mother, Yewoynishet Aklilu, entered the program in 2025. Through PATH, she will receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity and work toward providing greater stability and opportunity for her daughter.
