Brightney Hazel, born on July 31, 2021, joined CGA Pre-Primary One in 2026. She is the fourth-born in a family of four children. She lives with her widowed mother and three older siblings in Mbita, about a thirty-minute walk from CGA. Her father passed away in early 2024. Her two older sisters are enrolled at CGA, while her eldest brother is in his final year of high school. The family has no running water or electricity and relies on lake water for cleaning and cooking, solar energy for lighting, and charcoal and propane gas for cooking. Brightney sleeps on a bed and mattress under a mosquito net, sharing with a sibling. She is a cheerful child, and there is hope that she will do well at CGA.
