Edelawit Shembel was born in 2009. She joined the Path International Community Based Care program in 2021.

Edelawit Shembel was in the first group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2021. She was born in 2009, and she lives with her mother and three siblings. Edelawit loves playing Monkey in the Middle, and her favorite subject in school is social studies. Edelawit wants to be a doctor when she grows up, and she was selected to attend Africa Private School. In addition to educational support, Edelawit's mother is going to receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity.
