Eldana was born in 2012. She joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2023.

Eldana Asnaaqa was in the third group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2023. She was 12 years old when she joined PATH, and she lives with her younger brother. Eldana enjoys studying social studies at school, and she wants to become an engineer when she grows up. Her mother, Hiwot Wegayew, came into the program at 32 years old with a 9th grade education. She currently sells fruit, corn, and snacks in a little stand to support her family, but she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to improve her business knowledge and ability. She hopes to expand her business and also sell coffee from her food stand.
