Elsie Zawadi was born on September 4th, 2020. She will join Pre-Primary 1 in January 2025. She lives with her maternal uncle after her mother died from an electricity accident in early 2023. Elsie was born out of wedlock, and the whereabouts of her biological father is not known! The guardian uncle is a schoolteacher in a government school and has a sickly young daughter. He also supports his younger siblings in high school. They live in a permanent rental house about thirty minutes’ walk from school. The house has electricity and has treated running water within the compound. They use both charcoal and ethanol stove for cooking. Elsie sleeps on a bed and mattress.
