Emmanuel lives in Mukindo village with his parents and 4 siblings. He wants to be a police officer when he grows up, and helps with the family chore of fetching water.

Emmanuel’s family depends entirely on farming on rented land for their livelihood. They have no other source of income, which makes it difficult for them to afford basic living needs. During periods of prolonged drought, their situation becomes even more difficult, as they struggle to pay the rent for the farmland they cultivate.
