Geoffrey's mother died due to a complicated c-section. His father is incredibly pour with no land or money to take care of him. To our knowledge, there is one older sibling from a different mother, residing with her.

A note on the "3 sponsor" model you see here:
As a child grows, naturally so does their financial need to cover school costs, that is why it appears this child needs 3 sponsors. From birth through primary school a child only needs one sponsor at $44. When this child enters Secondary School that need will increase to $60-$88, another sponsorship level will be opened and we will contact the current sponsor with this opportunity. Then after Secondary School when the child progresses to a higher education program the need will become $132, another sponsorship level will be opened and again we will contact the current sponsor with that opportunity. If at any point the current sponsor cannot increase, we will work to find an additional sponsor to come alongside to help fill the financial need.
